‘Vertical slice’ workshops facilitation for CDSELinked workshops in different parts of the South East bringing together all of those involved in supporting communities and their development – from activists, residents, council officers, voluntary sector workers, local strategic partnership members, primary care trust officers, police, councillors and MPs. These workshops will enable a wide range of people to share their ideas of community development, empowerment, engagement and involvement and experiences of communities, partnership working, and community representation. |

Impact Evaluation toolkitSostenga members are continuing to develop a tool kit, which would support practitioners, managers and group members to be able to demonstrate their impact and effectiveness. This toolkit is based upon the community development national occupational standards and seeks to address the need to show what community development practice can achieve. |
Participatory BudgetingSostenga members are currently preparing the resource pack to support the City and Guilds module on Participatory Budgeting, which we plan to deliver for the Forster Community College after Easter. This is one of the optional units within the Level 4 professional diploma in community development which Sostenga members wrote as part of the ERSC project in 2008 (put in link to other part of the site to PB). Sostenga members are updating the taster sessions and are negotiating to deliver more of these to those on our waiting list. Please click here to go to the PB download page. |

NOCN community development award programmeSostenga members are currently delivering the three core units in the national award – Practice and Principles, Social Justice and reflective Practice – for the Bradford Community Workers Network; funded through the Bradford NHS. Each unit has a different lead tutor and is delivered one day a week for 4 weeks. Additional support is being provided to participants to prepare their portfolios. |
